quicknav error

Just installed joomla,i've been putting new modules in easily,all work as plug and plays,happy days,then i saw a module called quicknav,so i installed then i got this error as my site shutdown
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare QN_mod::$QN_Menu_items in /home/dark/public_html/moviesandcritics/modules/mod_quicknav/mod_quicknav.php on line 56
Great stuff.
So i then moved onto something a bit easier called  mod_newsflashscroller_pro  and guess what? it didn't even work,no errors,just blank,so i thought i'd try 1 more from the mambotoys modules so i put a site counter on version=4.5.1,yet again nothing..Inside the rar files are no nfo files or instructions which is odd,and i'm presuming these are all compatible with the newest release of joomla or maybe i need to install something to make these modules work?
any help would be appreciated as i've seen these working on multiple sites and they look mighty fine.

Nevermind. This is a mambo 451 version (version=4.5.1) Mod, and is not designed for Joomla!.

The quicknav Mod you're trying to install is also for Mambo. See the links below for Joomla! compatible Mods/Plug-ins:


I haven't tried any of these toys in the new version of Joomla! (I'm not into Joomla! these days). They are for the previous versions (1.0.X). There's a legacy mambot that is designed to make these older plug-ins work. Haven't tried it, but I hear it works.


Anyway, I'm going to check out the claims you've made here and I'll report back if I receive similar errors or problems.

PROBLEM FOUND! 

I've installed the latest versions of these modules on Joomla! 1.5.2 and have received NO errors. As a matter of fact, Joomla! 1.5.2 wouldn't let me install the modules without activating the legacy option first.

These versions work!!! Maybe, now they do.

Found it and should be fixed. Sorry. I did have errors turned on (test server... at least I thought I did), and no errors.

Not sure what happened with NFSP.

Site counter needs stats turned on in Joomla 1.0.x versions and I haven't tested this mod on Joomla 1.5+.
